Ibn Umar may Allah be pleased with him said: “Winter is the gain of the worshippers.” Narrated by Abu Na’iem with a sound chain of narration “saheeh”.
Ibn Rajab said: “Winter was the spring of the believer for he finds himself in the obeidances’ groves, demobilizes in the fields of worship, and releases his heart in the gardens of good deeds that are made easy in it.”
Ibn Mas’oud may Allah be pleased with him said: “Welcome winter; the blessings descends in it, nights become longer to pray qiyaam, and daylight becomes shorter for fasting.”
